‘Holy Strollers’ meet every Friday at 9AM in the parking lot at the north entrance of Robinson’s Preserve and walk either north to the river, or south into the area with the man-made springy pathways. You're invited to come any Friday to meet others for exercise, conversation, and a short devotional in the great outdoors. 

Each Friday, United Presbyterian serves the daily meal for folks in need at Our Daily Bread. You're welcome to join in as a server on any Friday or act as a substitute for when someone else is unavailable. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Dorothy Simes.

Book Club meets on second Mondays of the month, 1:00-2:00 pm, both in-person in the library and on Zoom. Members, visitors, family, and friends are welcome to join any session. Find the book selected for the month in the current book list.

A major annual fundraising event for nonprofits in our region. Every year since 2012 the Community Foundation of Sarasota County has hosted The Giving Challenge, a 24-hour online giving event that supports nonprofits in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. The Manatee Community Foundation serves as a supporting partner.

The event is April 15–16, 2026, noon to noon with 1:1 matching funds provided by The Patterson Foundation. Nonprofits in Manatee County use this event to raise funds for local food, shelter, and community needs. If you are interested in contributing to this campaign, there are links in the April Grapevine, and during the week of April 12 in The Cluster, that will take you to The Giving Challenge website where you can make a donation.
